Job summary

Premier Foods is seeking a Continuous Improvement Manager for our Lifton site in Devon. The role focuses on developing and leading the CI strategy to improve operations, drive LEAN initiatives, and deliver site cost-saving targets.

You will manage cross-functional teams and shape workflows to meet customer demand with enhanced efficiency. The ideal candidate has Six Sigma certification and strong Lean tools experience, with proven ability to train others and link improvements to broader business

Qualifications

• Must have Six Sigma certification and Strong Lean tools experience.
• Ability to lead cross-functional improvements and coordinate initiatives.
• Demonstrable analytical skills including root cause problem-solving.
• Able to train others in lean methods.
• Link lean activities to wider business performance and benefits; strong financial sense.
• Solid understanding of manufacturing processes and core business drivers.
• Proven experience delivering OEE improvements.
• Ability to stratify data and perform Pareto analysis to identify CI projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a Continuous Improvement Road Map aligned with site plans.
• Identify improvements in processes and workflows to ensure reliable performance.
• Lead LEAN/process-improvement workshops to drive actionable plans.
• Build relationships with site teams to deliver CI initiatives.
• Own change initiatives from identification through project delivery and cost targets.
• Set the agenda for Continuous Improvement across the site.

Permanent, 37.5 hours per week

We are looking for a Continuous Improvement Manager to join our team at Lifton to develop and lead the implementation of the site CI strategy, identifying improvements in all areas of Operations effectiveness.

What you will be doing:

• Develop and implement a Continuous Improvement Road Map in line with the site operational plans.
• Develop process improvements as well as implement changes in workflows to ensure continuous and reliable performance and outputs ensuring customer demand can be met.
• Lead and facilitate LEAN/process improvement-based workshops to drive ideas and solutions to inform executable plans.
• Build relationships and influence site operational teams to deliver on site CI initiatives.
• Take ownership of change initiatives from evolution/efficiency identification through to project delivery via internal governance and controls and delivering site CI Cost saving targets.
• Setting the agenda for and manage Continuous Improvement across the site.

What we are looking for:

• Sigma six qualification and experience of Lean tools and systems.
• Ability to lead and coordinate successful cross-functional improvements as necessary.
• Demonstrable analytical skills, including the use of root cause problem-solving tools.
• Able to train others in lean methods.
• Able to link the lean activities to the wider business performance and benefits, well versed in financial management and analysis.
• A sound understanding of the manufacturing process and its variables.
• A sound understanding of core business processes and drivers.
• Proven experience in delivering OEE improvements.
• Ability to stratify data and complete pareto analysis to identify CI projects.
