Job summary

The Diocese of Westminster is seeking a reliable Site Supervisor for St Alban & Stephen Parish in St Albans. The role is part-time (15 hours per week) with morning shifts, focusing on cleanliness, safety, and a well-presented church site for parishioners and visitors.

You will work independently with volunteers and contractors to maintain the church buildings, grounds, car park, and surrounding areas, while upholding health and safety standards and coordinating small maintenance tasks.

Qualifications

• Experience in caretaking, facilities, maintenance or similar role.
• Strong practical problem solving and initiative.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willing to undertake health and safety training.

Responsibilities

• Open and secure buildings and set alarms; support event setup.
• Care for church buildings, grounds, car park and surroundings.
• Coordinate volunteers and contractors for maintenance tasks.
• Carry out routine safety checks and maintain records.
• Monitor cleaning supplies and waste management.
