Job summary

DCK Group is seeking a Christmas Retail Associate in Cardiff City Centre for the peak festive period. The role is a 35-hour week with a start time of 9:00am, and travel to other stores in the zone may be required.

The role pays £12.71 per hour and includes benefits such as mileage/parking support, pension, life assurance, and training opportunities. Applicants should be customer-focused and able to work alongside a Team Leader.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in a customer facing setting is preferred.
• Sales and/or retail sales experience is preferred.
• Access to either an Apple or Android smartphone with the most up to date operating systems.

• Putting out deliveries of new stock.
• Maintaining housekeeping standards.
• Setting up promotional activities.
• Working with the host management teams to build great relationships and identify opportunities to improve sales.

Job description

Role Title - Christmas Retail Associate - Cardiff City Centre - 35 hours per week

Due to the nature of the role, please ensure you have access to your own vehicle and have a full driving licence.

Shift Pattern - 7 Monday, 7 Tuesday, 7 Wednesday, 7 Thursday, 7 Friday

This is a temporary role until 26/12/2026

Please note - this is a Christmas Retail Associate role covering our stores during our busy peak Christmas period. The Christmas period is our busiest time and therefore we are unable to authorise any leave in December, please bear this in mind when applying.

Our Retail Assistants provide face to face contact and merchandising expertise within our retail stores. In return, we provide:

You will be based in Cardiff City Centre butmay berequired to travel to different stores within your zone. We are looking for those who are available to start as soon as possible.

You will be working alongside a Team Leader, who will provide you with coaching and ongoing support. Being tech savvy is desirable as we use quite a few apps to make working here as smooth as possible.

Job role:

You will need to be customer-focused, with a friendly, polite, professional and positive attitude.
