Job summary

Marks & Spencer Plc is hiring a Customer Assistant in our Food section for a frontline role on the night shift. You’ll be at the heart of a high-traffic store, delivering quick, friendly service and helping customers with product information.

You’ll use Sparks and store devices to assist customers, and you’ll need to be flexible to work across store areas as demand varies. This is a demanding but rewarding role with opportunities to grow within a busy retailer.

Qualifications

• Night-shift eligibility (18+ years) due to late shifts.
• Willing to work across different store areas and flexible shifts.
• Strong customer service orientation and ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and sell food products, providing five-star service at pace.
• Recommend and upsell new food products to customers.
• Utilise Sparks and in-store devices to enhance the customer experience.
• Contribute to a positive, high-energy team environment.
• Be flexible to work across various store areas as demand shifts.

This job role involves working through the night and this means we can’t consider applications from anyone under the age of 18. This is to comply with the relevant health and safety legislation and to keep our colleagues safe in the workplace.

Due to operational requirements, all successful candidates may be asked to work up to full time hours in the weeks commencing 13th and 20th December.
