Job summary

Cirrus Logic in Edinburgh is seeking a Product Validation Manager to lead a team focused on automation, chip validation, and characterization across product development and emerging technology. You will shape validation strategies, mentor engineers, and collaborate with IC Design, Systems, and Applications teams to ensure thorough test coverage.

The role requires strong leadership, a deep mixed-signal background, and hands-on expertise in Python/C/assembly with hardware/FPGA involvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's in electrical engineering with silicon test/characterization experience.
• Proven leadership of engineers or technical projects.
• Strong debugging, analytical, and mentoring skills.
• Experience with mixed-signal analysis including audio and power.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for a team that develops hardware, software and automation for chip validation correlation and characterization.
• Drive decisions on test strategies with collaboration between cross functional teams, including Applications and Advanced Technology.
• Own execution of test plans ensuring complete coverage and traceability of feature/system requirements.
• Participate in developing methodologies for chip test and validation from requirements through tape‑out.
• Contribute towards the continuous development of Tools, Technology and Flows.
• Foster a culture of continuous engineering improvement through mentorship, feedback, and metrics.
• Develop training and documentation, supporting your team and product development.
• Work with peers to implement best practices and continuous improvements to Cirrus Logic characterization and validation methodologies.
• Collaborate closely with IC Design engineers, Systems engineers, and Application Engineers to collaborate in test and validation methodologies.
