Job summary

Cirrus Logic in Edinburgh seeks a Senior or Staff System Test Engineer to own system test initiatives, drive automation, and partner with software and hardware teams. You will develop test plans, run pre- and post-silicon tests, and help maintain a robust lab environment.

The ideal candidate has strong embedded, RTOS, and Python skills, plus experience with MCU/DSP cores and test automation. Hybrid in-office work with relocation flexibility is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related discipline.
• Strong experience in embedded systems and RTOS.
• Strong experience in software testing and test automation.
• Strong experience with scripting in Python.
• Experience with MCU/DSP cores/processors.
• Experience developing embedded software tests on development boards.
• Experience using lab equipment for bring-up and debugging.
• Excellent debugging and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Build and implement system test plans for new features and products.
• Execute tests across pre-silicon and post-silicon development phases.
• Lead test strategy, planning, and risk management.
• Own and evolve test management systems and reporting.
• Support test hardware setups and maintain a well-structured lab.
