Job summary

Saladworks in Leicester Forest East is seeking a Preparation Operative to join the Prep team. You will prepare and handle ingredients for production, work in a chilled area, and follow set processes to ensure safety and quality.

The role emphasises teamwork, food safety, and attention to detail, with manual handling involved. The successful candidate will have experience in food production or a chilled environment, be able to follow instructions, and handle heavy loads while using production

Qualifications

• Experience in food production is advantageous.
• Experience working in a chilled or cold environment is useful.
• Able to follow recipes, instructions, and set processes.
• Comfortable working with food products and production equipment.
• Able to handle heavy loads.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients for production
• Collect ingredients and materials from the correct storage areas
• Follow recipes, work instructions, and set processes
• Weigh and prepare ingredients to the correct specification
• Move ingredients and products safely around the Prep area
• Load and unload trays, containers, and equipment as needed
• Complete paperwork and records clearly and accurately when needed
• Follow strict rules of stock rotation, food safety, hygiene and health and safety rules
• Support other tasks in the Preparation area when needed
