Job summary

Saladworks, located in Leicester Forest East, is seeking a Preparation Operative to join the Preparation team. You will prepare and handle ingredients for production in a chilled area, following recipes and set processes with emphasis on food safety, quality, and teamwork.

The role is labour intensive with manual handling, and you will work with production equipment and stock controls, ensuring accurate records and efficient prep operations.

Qualifications

• Experience in food production is advantageous.
• Experience in a chilled or cold environment is useful.
• Able to follow recipes, instructions and set processes.
• Comfortable working with food products and production equipment.
• Able to handle heavy loads.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients for production.
• Collect ingredients and materials from the storage areas.
• Follow recipes, work instructions, and set processes.
• Weigh and prepare ingredients to the correct specification.
• Move ingredients and products safely around the Prep area.
• Load and unload trays, containers, and equipment as needed.
• Complete paperwork and records clearly and accurately when needed.
• Follow stock rotation, food safety, hygiene and health and safety rules.
• Support other tasks in the Preparation area when needed.
