Job summary

KPI-Recruiting-Ltd is seeking an Area Production Manager for a chilled food manufacturing operation to lead and develop a team in a fast-paced environment. The role demands hands-on leadership, a focus on people, and strong commitment to food safety, quality and health and safety standards.

The successful candidate will drive production performance while developing their team, maintaining high standards, and ensuring orders are completed on time and to specification.

Qualifications

• Experience in a chilled food manufacturing environment.
• Proven track record of leading and developing a production team.
• Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene, quality and health & safety standards.
• Experience managing production targets, KPIs, labour efficiency and waste.
• Excellent communication, organisation and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and develop a team, creating a positive and accountable working environment.
• Oversee daily production operations to ensure customer orders are completed on time and to specification.
• Monitor production performance against targets, including output, efficiency, waste and labour costs.
• Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, product quality and health and safety.
• Manage staffing levels, attendance, shift allocation, training and employee performance.
• Build strong working relationships across Production, Technical, Hygiene, Planning and Engineering.
• Identify and implement improvements to productivity, processes and waste reduction.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and the development of team members.
