Job description

Global leader in fruit and dairy processing – selling products in more than 100 countries with 25 factories worldwide; requires an excellent Chilled Demand Planner to join the busy team.

You will be responsible for all aspects of the chilled supply chain, including developing relationships with customers, factories, and forecasting.

This role requires someone who understands the supply chain within a manufacturing environment. Demand planning is a significant part of this role. You will decide the quantities of products to be delivered to UK depots for two factories across Europe. Other factories will manage their stock in the UK depot directly; you will support them in understanding the UK market and provide necessary information, challenging them to achieve KPIs such as service level and wastage.

Main responsibilities include:

  1. Improving forecast accuracy and implementing strategies to enhance forecasting performance.
  2. Aligning forecast accuracy with factory stock management and reviewing security stock rules based on specific issues.
  3. Developing action plans to resolve service and waste level issues.
  4. Analyzing business data to draw conclusions for process improvements.
  5. Communicating with European factories working on push flows to help them understand the UK market and share activity event information.
  6. Supporting seasonal uplifts such as Easter, Christmas, and promotional periods.
  7. Forecasting chilled desserts and managing stock levels.
  8. Liaising with warehouses, counterparts, and retailers regarding promotions and other activities.

Candidate Profile:

The successful candidate will have experience in a similar role, demonstrating professionalism, maturity, and the ability to influence, motivate, and convince others within the business and with retailer partners.

You should be commercially aware, with attributes such as tenacity, the ability to meet challenging deadlines, adapt to change, problem-solve, and propose creative solutions with limited resources.

You will be highly analytical, with a clear and passionate communication style.
