Job summary

TeacherActive is seeking a Children’s Support Worker in Carmarthenshire, Wales. The role covers full-time and part-time shifts, including day and night hours, for a residential setting supporting children with EBD/SEMH and trauma needs.

The successful candidate will have residential/care experience, DBS, Social Care Wales registration, and flexibility to cover shifts. Driving licence is desirable.

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a children’s residential provider in the heart of Carmarthenshire to look for Childrens Support Worker. The houses care for children and young people who have been diagnosed with EBD (Emotional Behavioural Difficulties) and SEMH (Social Emotional Mental Health), or complex trauma needs.

We are looking for a Childrens Support Worker to work on a full and part time basis with varying day and night shifts available. Our residential provider adopts an ethos that is child focused, while understanding that children will thrive when they feel safe and secure. A focus on providing consistency and continuity, ensuring at all times that children’s wishes are heard and respected.

The successful Residential Support Worker will have:

• Experience of working in residential/care settings
• Child & Adult DBS or willingness to apply
• Registered with Social Care Wales or willingness to apply
• Experience supporting young people with challenging behaviours or trauma
• Desirable – driving licence
• Flexibility with shifts
