Job summary

Kisimul Group Ltd is seeking Night Practitioners for Apple Tree Bungalow in Swinderby to support young people with complex needs, autism and learning disabilities. You will help them develop life skills and participate in education and therapeutic activities.

The role offers a clear competency framework, fully funded qualifications, career development and a £500 joining bonus, with pay starting at £14.47 per hour and rising to £14.98 with progression.

Our Children Residential Home is looking for Night Practitioners to join our team at Apple Tree Bungalow in Swinderby

We are looking for compassionate, resilient and dedicated Night Practitioners to join our team at Apple Tree. This is a rewarding opportunity to support young people with severe learning disabilities, autism and complex needs to achieve positive outcomes and live meaningful, fulfilling lives.

As a Night Practitioner, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality care and support, helping young people develop independence, build life skills and engage in education, therapeutic activities and community experiences. We are looking for colleagues who can build positive relationships, remain calm and professional in challenging situations and consistently provide the structure, encouragement and support that our young people need to thrive.

This role is ideally suited to individuals who are passionate about making a difference and who have experience working in complex care, children's residential care, SEND, learning disability or autism services. In return, you'll be supported to develop specialist skills, progress your career and be recognised for the vital contribution you make every day.

£500 Joining Bonus

Starting rates are £14.47 and for those with experience it's £14.98.

Working at Apple Tree and our bespoke services within 6 months we expect you to be earning:

• Level 2 - £14.47 per hour.
• Level 3 - £14.98 per hour (once you have progressed through your competencies within 12-18 months).

About the Candidate

What experience and qualifications do you need

• Previous experience working within a complex care environment, such as children's residential care, SEND, learning disability, autism, mental health or challenging behaviour services.
• Experience supporting individuals with complex behaviours, communication needs and emotional regulation difficulties.
• A resilient and proactive approach, with the ability to remain calm and professional during challenging situations.
• An understanding of trauma-informed practice and the importance of consistent, relationship-based support.
• Confidence in working as part of a multi-disciplinary team and following agreed care, behaviour support and therapeutic plans.
• Excellent communication and record-keeping skills.
• A genuine passion for supporting young people to achieve positive outcomes and reach their potential.
• The ability to build positive, trusting relationships while maintaining professional boundaries.
• Confidence to seek support, reflect on practice and continuously develop professionally.
• A Level 3 Diploma in Children's Residential Care (or willingness to work towards this qualification).
