Job summary

Advantage Healthcare, part of CCH, in Milton Keynes is seeking a compassionate care assistant to support a young boy with complex needs. Duties include personal care, seizure management, medication administration, observation monitoring and PEG feeding in a family-centred setting.

The ideal candidate is calm under pressure, resilient and kind. No prior care experience is required as we provide full nurse-led training, free DBS check, and clear progression into leadership roles within our growing

Qualifications

• Experience in a care role would be beneficial, however you don’t need any care experience to apply, just plenty of care, compassion, and resilience as we provide full nurse-led training.

Responsibilities

• Support a child with complex care needs in personal care, seizure management and monitoring.
• Administer medications and assist with PEG feeding and ventilator needs.
• Maintain a calm, resilient approach in a lively family setting.

Shifts: Waking night shifts - 10pm – 7am

Job Description

What you’ll do

In this rewarding role, you will support a child with complex care needs, providing compassionate personal care, seizure management, medication administration, observation monitoring and PEG feeding. Our client is a young boy with Kabuki Syndrome, Epilepsy and learning difficulties. He is non-verbal and non mobile.

The right candidate will be calm under pressure, emotionally resilient. We need someone kind but firm, who can manage challenging moments with sensitivity and who thrives in a lively, family centred setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• PEG for medication and feeding
• Ventilator management
• Moving and handling
• Suction when required
• Personal care
• Moving and handling
• Supporting daily routines
