Job summary

Independent Community Care Management Limited in the UK is seeking a Children’s Complex Care Assistant to join our growing team in Bletchley, Milton Keynes. You will receive full training and clinical support to develop skills in areas such as PEG feed management, seizure support, and personal care for a non-verbal client with West Syndrome.

Qualifications

• Previous complex care experience with children; epilepsy and PEG feeding knowledge is advantageous.
• Demonstrates care, compassion and resilience in challenging situations.
• Willingness to undergo DBS check and complete training.

Responsibilities

• Support a non-verbal child with West Syndrome in daily tasks and routines.
• Monitor and administer clinical interventions and medications as directed.
• Provide emotional, social support and assist with light domestic duties as needed.

Job Description

What you’ll do

This is an excellent opportunity to enhance your current skill base and join us as a Children’s Complex Care Assistant.

You will have full training and clinical support to develop and enhance skills in various complex areas such as PEG feed management, inclusive of medication administration, seizure management, moving and handling equipment and providing personal care.

The client is a non-verbal young lady with West Syndrome, where on your day-to-day you will be supporting her through everyday tasks, monitoring and administering clinical interventions, offering emotional and social support and light domestic duties.

Qualifications

What you’ll need

Previous complex care experience in working with children, with a background in epilepsy and peg feeding would make your application very advantageous as well as plenty of care, compassion, and resilience.
