This is an excellent opportunity to enhance your current skill base and join us as a Children’s Complex Care Assistant. You will receive full training and clinical support to develop skills in complex care areas such as tracheotomy, ventilation, seizure management, and stoma care. We support individuals of all ages in the community and their homes, including those with Spinal Cord injuries, Muscular Dystrophy, acquired brain injuries, and other complex needs. Each day presents new challenges, and your work will brighten your clients’ days while expanding your skills and knowledge.
The client is a lovely young girl who lives with her mother and pet dog. She has Hypoxic-Ischemic Encephalopathy since birth and requires gastronomy care, medication via PEG feed, seizure management, dystonia care, and oxygen administration.
You will be responsible for monitoring her condition throughout the night and caring for her needs during this time.
Experience in childcare involving PEG feeding, suctioning, medication administration, and handling equipment is essential.
