This is an excellent opportunity to enhance your current skill base and join us as a Children’s Complex Care Assistant. You will utilize your complex skills supporting clients with needs such as tracheotomy, ventilation, seizure management, and stoma care. We support people of all ages in the community and their homes, with conditions like spinal cord injury, muscular dystrophy, acquired brain injuries, and other complex needs. Every day is different, offering new challenges, and you will be making a positive impact on clients’ lives while developing your skills.
The client is a delightful little girl with quadriplegic cerebral palsy. Your role will be to maintain her safety, manage her respiratory interventions, sensory play, seizure management, and assist with her therapy sessions.
She enjoys interacting with her siblings and engaging in leisure activities with her family and care team. If you are passionate about care where no two days are the same, we would love to hear from you!
Qualifications
Previous childcare experience is preferable, along with complex care experience including administering medication via PEG feed, which is essential for this role.
