Job summary

Compassionate Care Group in Leyland is seeking a Children and Young Person's Support Worker to join our team on a rolling night shift rota. Earn £13.90 per hour with a sleep-in rate of £50. We are opening a brand-new Residential Children’s Home in Leyland and focus on nurturing, care and support for children and young people.

Ideal candidates are passionate, resilient and ready to work nights. Full training will be provided and driving is required with a clean licence.

Qualifications

• Excellent English language skills required.
• Must be 25 years of age or over.
• Willingness to work towards health and social care qualifications.
• Must have a driving licence with a clean record.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with children and young people with autism, learning disabilities, mental health needs and complex behaviours.
• Offer a supportive ear, calm presence, and bring fun to daily life and activities.
• Forge positive relationships with young people, their families, and external partners.
• Tailor approach to individual needs and cultures and promote diversity across the service.
• Think on your feet and solve problems creatively to overcome challenges.
• Empower and advocate for all children and young people at every opportunity.
