Job summary

Beacon in Stockport is seeking a Children and Young Peoples Service Manager to lead high‑quality counselling services for youngsters. You will oversee MHST/Shine teams, drive service development, safeguarding oversight and strategic support to extend provision beyond Stockport.

You will manage referrals, supervise staff and volunteers, and ensure robust data and records while aligning with Making Space’s mission to improve mental health. This role is based in Stockport, SK1 3DL.

Qualifications

• Experience leading services in schools or community settings.
• Budget setting and management experience essential.
• Ability to analyze data and manage stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day MHST Shine and CYP counselling services.
• Lead service development and safeguarding oversight.
• Support strategic direction and reporting for the Beacon CYP service.
• Manage referrals and maintain confidential client records.
