• Safeguarding & Child Protection Team
• Permanence Team
• Assessment & Intervention Team

Key Responsibilities

Your role will depend on the team you join:

Safeguarding & Child Protection Team

• Undertake assessments and develop Care & Support Plans for at-risk children.
• Manage complex caseloads and respond to crisis situations.
• Work closely with multi-agency professionals and prepare court reports.

Permanence Team

• Develop and implement permanence plans to secure long-term stability for children in care.
• Work closely with foster carers, adopters, and connected carers to ensure successful placements.
• Advocate for children and ensure their voices are heard in decision-making.

Assessment & Intervention Team

• Conduct statutory assessments and develop targeted intervention plans.
• Work in partnership with families and professionals to provide timely safeguarding responses.
• Prepare reports for court proceedings and multi-agency meetings.

Who We're Looking For

• Qualified Social Workers with Social Work England registration.
• Minimum 2 years' post-qualification experience (safeguarding, permanence, or assessment & intervention preferred).
• Strong assessment, risk management, and decision-making skills.
• A full driving licence or ability to travel across Oldham.
