Job summary

South Tyneside and Sunderland NHS Foundation Trust invites applications for a Children and Young People’s Mental Health Practitioner role in Sunderland. The post supports delivery of low intensity, evidence-based interventions for children, young people and families and includes contributing to training and supervision within a multi-disciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Qualified Children’s Wellbeing Practitioner or core professional qualification.
• Registration with a relevant governing body (e.g. BABCP/BPS) or working toward registration; registered within six months.
• Postgraduate qualification in Children and Young People’s Mental Health, therapeutic training or related area.
• Recognised supervision certificate.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct evidence-based interventions and outcome-focused standards of care to children, young people and families.
• Deliver high-quality training, consultation and support to staff.
• Collaborate with multi-professional teams to ensure evidence-based, safe practice.
• Work with multi-professional teams to ensure efficient, effective care.
