Job summary

Keys Group is seeking a resilient and nurturing Children's Support Worker to join our family home, caring for young people aged 8–18 with severe learning disabilities, autism and complex needs, some of whom are non verbal.

You would provide support and personal care as needed, remain a positive role model, and help the children reach their full potential in a caring, safe environment. A full UK driving license is beneficial.

Qualifications

• Provide support and care, including personal care as needed.
• Be part of a caring team that provides a safe and loving home.
• Act as a positive role model and offer encouragement and praise.
• Ensure safety and wellbeing during the night.
• Provide emotional support to help children reach their full potential.
• Previous relevant experience or transferable skills such as adult care, police, education, ex-forces or supporting vulnerable people.
• Passion and desire to support children in a homely environment.
• Good level of English; Makaton or BSL would be beneficial.
• Experience or knowledge of child-centred, therapeutic models.
• Naturally caring, flexible and resilient.
• Full UK driving licence would be beneficial.
