Job summary

Securitas UK is seeking Casual Children's Support Workers for a four-bed children's home in Winsford, supporting children and young people with autism and learning disabilities. You will help them achieve personal goals in a safe and nurturing environment, with emphasis on independence and positive life skills.

The role involves flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, sleep-ins and holidays, with a casual/bank contract.

Qualifications

• A genuine passion for supporting children and young people with autism and learning disabilities.
• Ability to work flexibly across a range of shifts.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting children's welfare.
• Experience in residential care, preferably with children.

Responsibilities

• Supporting children with daily living activities and personal care where required.
• Encouraging participation in education, hobbies, social activities and community opportunities.
• Building positive, trusting relationships with children and young people.
• Promoting independence, communication and life skills.
• Supporting children to manage behaviours that may challenge through positive and proactive approaches.
• Maintaining a safe, caring and structured home environment.
• Completing accurate records and reports.

As a Casual Children's Support Worker, you will play an important role in providing high-quality care and support tailored to each child's individual needs. You will help create a positive home environment where children feel valued, respected and empowered to thrive.

Your responsibilities will include:

Supporting children with daily living activities and personal care where required.

Location: Winsford, Cheshire

Salary: £13.15 per hour + 12.07% rolled-up holiday pay

Hours: Casual / Bank Contract (Flexible shifts including evenings, weekends, sleep-ins and holidays)
