Cambridgeshire County Council is recruiting a children's social worker in the Assessment Team, with vacancies in two teams. The role responds to children and families at levels 3 and 4 of the county's needs framework and works to step families down to early help where appropriate.

The post runs on a 37-hour week and includes regular supervision and reflective space, with an emphasis on safeguarding and placing the child's voice at the centre of planning.

Qualifications

• Enhanced DBS disclosure is required before appointment.
• Commitment to putting the child's voice at the heart of practice.
• Commitment to safeguarding children and vulnerable adults.

Responsabilités

• Respond to children and families at levels 3 and 4 of the Cambridgeshire Levels of Need framework
• Act as the first point of contact for statutory intervention, with timely and proportionate responses
• Work with Targeted Support Services to step families down to early help when appropriate
• Strengthen relationships with families to prevent escalation
• Plan care creatively, with children's ideas and voice at the centre
