Job summary

Cambridgeshire County Council is seeking an experienced Social Worker to join the Assessment Team in Huntingdon/South Cambridgeshire. You will conduct statutory assessments and deliver interventions to safeguard children and support families, with a focus on high-quality plans and outcomes.

Cambridgeshire County Council is looking for passionate and experienced Social Workers to join its Assessment Teams based in Huntingdon and South Cambridgeshire.

Salary: £41,958 - £44,822 per annum

Key Responsibilities

• Undertake statutory assessments and formulate effective plans for children and families.
• Lead strategy discussions and multi-agency meetings.
• Complete Section 47 enquiries and safeguarding investigations.
• Prepare high-quality court reports under Sections 7, 37 and 31.
• Complete SWET assessments and care plans where required.
• Work closely with partner agencies to achieve positive and sustainable outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and timely case recording in line with statutory requirements.
• Manage a caseload of approximately 25 children and families.
