Job summary

Brook Street is recruiting Residential Support Workers in Birmingham to join Ofsted-registered children’s homes. You will provide day-to-day care, safeguard and support young people in a nurturing home environment, with a base salary of £25,344 per year plus £70 per sleep-in and overtime opportunities.

Role requires flexibility for weekends and rota-based shifts, and a full UK driving licence is essential. Experience in children’s residential care is desirable but not essential, as full training

Qualifications

• Full UK Driving Licence is essential
• Previous experience in children's residential care is desirable but not essential
• Support workers may be supported to work towards an appropriate qualification
• Sleep-ins required and shifts across Birmingham homes

Responsibilities

• Support and safeguard children and young people
• Build positive and professional relationships
• Support education, independence and daily living skills
• Drive young people to school, appointments and activities
• Complete accurate daily records and documentation
• Work closely with colleagues, families and external professionals
