Job summary

We are care ltd. seeks a dedicated Children's Residential Support Worker for waking nights in Preston. You will work in a residential family centre, supporting parents and ensuring child safety during night hours.

Responsibilities include night shifts (8pm–8:20am), recording detailed night notes, and handing over to the day team while collaborating with the registered manager and local authorities in a supportive, regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent Level 3 in children's residential care.
• At least 6 months paid UK care experience with a reference.
• Enhanced DBS with children's barred list check, or willingness to apply.

Responsibilities

• Waking nights, 8pm to 8:20am.
• Support parents in a residential family centre to ensure child safety.
• Model positive parenting and maintain clear night records; hand over to day team.
• Collaborate with the registered manager, social workers and local authorities.

• A residential family centre where parents are supported through a parenting assessment, with the safety of children always first
• Role model positive parenting, keep clear night records and hand over to the day team
• Work with the registered manager, social workers and local authorities
• Shifts booked ahead, with regular work for the right people

What you need:

• Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare, or equivalent Level 3 in children's residential care
• At least 6 months of paid UK care experience, with a reference
• Right to work in the UK
