Job summary

Harbour Healthcare is seeking a Children’s Residential Support Worker to support looked-after children and young people in Rhyl, North Wales. The role includes sleep-ins, personal care, and coordinating activities to promote health and wellbeing.

The position is full-time with an hourly rate of £13.72. A DBS check is required; Harbour Healthcare offers training and potential career progression within its expanding group.

Qualifications

• Enhanced DBS check required for all positions involving Children and Adults.

Responsibilities

• Undergo sleep-in duties and work unsociable hours as required to meet the needs of children and young people.
• Contribute to individual care plans and placement plans for looked-after children and their families.
• Observe and respond to behaviour in line with care policies, providing appropriate support and boundaries.
• Participate in development of programmes to address behavioural issues and improve wellbeing.
• Establish professional links with staff and external agencies; act as key worker when assigned.
• Attend supervision, performance reviews, and training; report verbally and in writing as required.
• Maintain accurate records and participate in team meetings and reports.
• Contribute to the upkeep of the unit and supporting home-making activities.
