Job summary

FRONTrunner Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Children's Home Support Worker to be based in a residential home in Wrexham. You will support children and teenagers with daily routines, meals, personal care, and learning activities, while providing emotional support in a stable home environment.

Role requires a full UK driving licence and prior experience in children’s homes is preferred. Training and development are available within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Must live within travelling distance to the Wrexham home.
• Full UK driving licence (ideally with own vehicle).
• NVQ Level 3 Diploma for the Children and Young People’s Workforce would be beneficial but candidates working towards it will be considered.
• Experience in children's homes is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Based in a children’s residential home in Wrexham and support with daily routines.
• Support breakfast, getting dressed, school runs, washing, and bedtime routines.
• Cook meals, provide emotional support, and aid learning and development.
• Create a stable, loving environment and promote child wellbeing.

A great opportunity to work with an established and growing care company providing residential live in support for children and teenagers with challenging behaviour. Their staff are always on hand to provide emotional support as well as helping to teach and develop the children for the future.

you will be:

• Based in a children's residential home in Wrexham
• Working 2 full days and nights and then having 4 days and nights off
• Supporting the child with making them breakfast, helping getting them dressed and to school, putting on washing, pick up's from school, cooking dinner, getting them bathed and to bed
• Making sure they are supported emotionally and aiding their learning and development to give them a stable and loving environment

Benefits and salary of a Children's Home Support Worker

• £15.02 if you have your Level 3, £13.49 if you don't have it
• £60 per sleep in
• 224 hours holiday per year - you get an extra 2 days when you have been there 2 years

Qualifications/Experience/Requirements to be a Children's Home Support Worker:

• Living within travelling distance to the Wrexham children's home
• You must have a full UK driving licence and ideally your own vehicle
• NVQ level 3 Diploma for the Children and Young People's Workforce would be very beneficial but would consider someone who is working towards their Level 3 qualification
• You will ideally need experience working within children's homes dealing with children
