Do you want to enable children and young people who have been taken into care to have the best possible start in life? We have an AMAZING opportunity for a Children's Residential Support Worker to join a children's residential service in Spalding, Lincolnshire, supporting young people with Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) and challenging behaviours.

You will be committed, passionate, and able to engage, encourage, and mentor the young people, while having a lot of fun! Activities include playing computer games, movie nights, and arts and crafts.

**Note: Applicants must have a full driver's license and a car due to the nature of the activities involved.**

Overview:

  • Title: Children's Residential Support Worker
  • Salary: £30,062 to £34,488 (sleep allowance included)
  • Location: Lincolnshire
  • Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
  • Shift Pattern: 1 on 2 off - 07:30 am - 11:00 pm / Sleep in / 07:00 am - 11:00 pm

Responsibilities:

  • Encourage young people to participate in activities and take responsibility for their lives.
  • Maintain a homely, friendly environment.
  • Handle challenging behaviours appropriately.
  • Protect children from health and welfare risks.
  • Support independence and well-being of children and young people.
  • Ensure a safe environment.
  • Stay informed about care plans, guidelines, and communication methods.
  • Support poor behaviour safely and sympathetically.
  • Build relationships with staff, parents, social workers, and other professionals.

Candidate requirements:

  • Experience in social care or working with young people is desirable but not essential.
  • MUST have a full driving license, as transportation is required.
  • Must be over 21 years old.
  • Must be empathetic, good listener, and communicative, with a natural helping instinct.
