About the role:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Residential Support Worker to join a fantastic home for children and young people aged 11 – 17 with backgrounds of trauma and emotional behavioural difficulties. You will be working for an incredible local Children’s Homes provider who works across the greater Manchester area.
Your key responsibilities as the Residential Support Worker:
As the Residential Support worker, you will provide a high standard of care and support to vulnerable young people with emotional behaviour difficulties and/or self-esteem issues in order to maximise individual potential. You will demonstrate positive attitudes, patience, understanding, and respect in providing care to the children and young people. To maintain a flexible, caring, and sensitive approach to service delivery, regardless of young peoples’ individual cultural, religious, and/or sexual diversity. To work professionally, and develop good relationships with children, young people, and outside agencies. You will create positive relationships with the children, meet their needs, and safeguard them at all times. You will create timetables, set boundaries, and expectations for the young people. Consistency and organisation skills are key.
