Job Advert: Children’s Residential Support Worker – PR3
Pay Rate: £13.75 per hour
Contract Type: Full-Time, Temp to Perm
Location: Ribchester, Lancashire

We are currently seeking dedicated and compassionate Children’s Residential Support Workers to join a highly respected residential setting near Ribchester. This role offers the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children and young people with complex needs, including autism and associated behaviours.

As part of a passionate and supportive team, you will contribute to creating a nurturing environment where children feel safe, supported, and valued. Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality care and support to children and young people in a residential setting.
  • Promote emotional well-being and positive behaviour through consistent routines and meaningful engagement.
  • Support children with their individual needs, including personal care, communication, and life skills.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure a safe and structured environment.
  • Follow care plans, risk assessments, and safeguarding procedures.
  • Participate in a variety of shift patterns including early mornings and late nights.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a care or support role is desirable.
  • A full UK driving licence is essential due to the rural location of the setting.
  • Ability to build trusting relationships with children and young people.
  • Resilience, empathy, and a genuine commitment to making a positive impact.
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
  • Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Competitive hourly rate of £13.75.
