Job summary

Cambian Group Plc in Wisbech is seeking a Registered Manager to lead a 4-bed children's complex care home rated GOOD by Ofsted. You will develop comprehensive care plans, build a strong team, ensure safeguarding, and drive high care standards under the CareTech leadership framework.

You will collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams across operations and leadership development pathways, manage budgets, and participate in ongoing professional development to deliver exceptional care every day.

Qualifications

• Passionate about making the difference to the lives of young people in care.
• At least 2 years in residential care of children, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role within the last 5 years.
• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent) or willingness to start within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Develop Comprehensive Care Plans: Ensure each young person has a tailored plan addressing care, education, social, emotional, cultural, therapeutic and health needs.
• Develop a great team: Work with recruitment to recruit and retain a strong team and ensure familiar faces for the children.
• Foster Consultation: Develop systems to consult young people about their care.
• Allocate Key Workers: Assign a Key Worker to each young person to implement their childcare plan.
• Maintain High Standards: Monitor high-quality care standards in line with National Minimum Standards and the Home's Statement of Purpose.
• Handle Complaints and Concerns: Address complaints or child protection concerns.
• Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work with parents, carers and other professionals to promote welfare.
• Participate in Meetings: Attend and contribute to child care planning and review meetings.
• Embrace a safe culture: Ensure children are cared for to the highest standard.
• Effective Commercial Management of your home: Manage the home aligned to budget expectations.
