The role involves operational, clinical and professional leadership, coordinating multidisciplinary care, developing standards of therapy, and supervising staff performance.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational, clinical and professional leadership to the physiotherapists in the team.
• Coordinate the clinical care delivered by the team with a multidisciplinary focus.
• Develop and monitor standards of therapy care and supervise staff performance.
• Maintain a clinical caseload working with children with neurological, respiratory, orthopaedic, rheumatological and other complex conditions.
• Promote evidence-based practice and contribute to research activity if required.

Job description

We are looking to recruit an experienced Children's Physiotherapist who wishes to develop their leadership skills by managing a small team of physios and support workers, whilst continuing to maintain a clinical caseload. You will work with children who have neurological, respiratory, orthopaedic, rheumatological, functional co-ordination disorder and those requiring long term rehabilitation across Nottingham City and Nottinghamshire County. We would love to hear from you if you can or are keen to develop your skills to; Provide operational, clinical and professional leadership to the physiotherapists in the team and advise the Service Manager on matters concerning the service. Co-ordinate the clinical care delivered by the team ensuring a multidisciplinary focus. Develop and monitor the standards of therapy care and supervise the clinical performance of staff.. Promote a culture of evidence-based practice within the team including measurement of clinical outcomes and contribution to research activity if required Provide specialist clinical expertise, advice and support to physiotherapy colleagues regarding children with complex disorders in order to promote a high standard of physiotherapy management Please note applicants will be required to pay for their DBS check. Costs are deducted from salary following appointment. The cost of the DBS application is £20.00 (standard) or £41.00 (enhanced), this cost will be deducted from your salary over the first 2 months of employment. You are encouraged to enrol for the DBS Update Service. An annual fee of £15 per year applies.
