Description

The starting salary for this role is £36,817 per annum based on a 36-hour workweek. A further financial package of £6,000 is available upon successful completion of the ASYE.

We are welcoming Newly Qualified Social Workers (NQSW) for our Autumn 2025 cohort, starting on 6th October 2025. This is our second intake in 2025, reflecting our commitment to developing the future social care workforce.

Our Location and Teams

Surrey borders Greater London, Kent, East and West Sussex, Hampshire, and Berkshire. Opportunities are available across various children's teams located throughout the county.

  • Northwest: Woking – Woking, Surrey Heath, Runnymede: Assessment, Family Safeguarding
  • Southwest: Guildford – Guildford, Waverley: Family Safeguarding, Children with Disability (from Woking office)
  • Vacancies also in our Adolescent Service across North, East, and West areas.

You will need to travel to your team’s office and within your geographical area, attend meetings, and participate in training. We support flexible working, combining home and office-based work, and encourage discussion about work-life balance during interviews.

About Our ASYE Programme

The programme is well-resourced, with regular supervision and mentorship from experienced staff. It aims to develop your knowledge across various practice areas, supported by our 'Good' Ofsted-rated services. Full report HERE.

Upon successful completion, opportunities for career progression include our Post-Qualifying Year 2 programme, ongoing support, and professional development.

NQSWs on the ASYE will have access to:
