Job summary

Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council is hiring a Missing Advocate to work in the Evolve Service in Rotherham. You will conduct return home interviews, advocate for vulnerable young people, and work within a multi-agency team alongside Social Workers, Police, Nurses and Family Support Workers.

The role involves assessing needs, providing harm reduction information, and developing risk reduction plans. Strong safeguarding experience and collaboration with families are essential.

Qualifications

• Able to engage with missing young people and advocate on their behalf.
• Experience working in partnership with children, young people and families.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Undertake return home interviews within 72 hours and record as a report for the authority.
• Collect and report monitoring information by set timescales.
• Undertake one-to-one work with children and young people at risk of missing incidents to inform risk reduction plans.
