Job summary

Connective Careers in Enfield seeks a Registered Manager for a new one-bed children’s home. The role involves leading registration, staffing, safeguarding and day-to-day management, with potential to expand to a second flat as the service grows.

The initial salary is £50,000-£55,000 per year, permanent contract, with salary progression to £65,000-£70,000 upon dual registration across both flats. Appointment is subject to safeguarding checks and right to work in the UK.

Qualifications

• Experience in a registered care or residential service, including responsibility for staff leadership.
• A relevant leadership and management qualification, or active progress towards one.
• A sound understanding of safeguarding, person-centred support and the registration requirements applicable to the service.
• Strong organisational skills, clear written records and accountable decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Lead registration preparation and operational readiness for the initial service.
• Establish effective staffing, induction, supervision and day-to-day management arrangements.
• Oversee individual care and support planning, safeguarding, risk management and clear record keeping.
• Work with relevant professionals and stakeholders to coordinate safe, consistent support.
• Monitor quality and compliance, and support further service development where agreed.
