£47.4k basic to £57k (inc bonuses)

We’re looking for a dynamic and passionate Registered Manager to lead two EBD children’s homes in Barnsley. If you thrive on making a real difference and love building strong, supportive teams—this is your next move.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead the home with confidence, compassion, and clear direction
  • Deliver outstanding care in line with Ofsted standards and legal frameworks
  • Build a warm, stable environment where young people can feel safe and thrive
  • Guide, inspire, and support your team—developing talent and driving high standards
  • Take charge of referrals, placements, and care plans
  • Maintain excellent records, reports, and communication across all areas
  • Ensure safeguarding is always the top priority
  • Be a calm, solution-focused presence during on-call shifts (rotated with other managers)

What You Bring

  • A real passion for improving young people’s lives
  • Previous experience managing or leading in a residential childcare setting
  • A solid understanding of safeguarding and child protection
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or be working toward it)
  • Strong communication skills and emotional resilience
  • A UK driving licence and flexibility to support the home when needed
