Job summary

The Cambian Group’s Forum School and Residential Home is seeking an experienced Home Manager to lead a care team in a 52-week residential setting for young people with Autism, severe learning difficulties and challenging behaviour.

You will ensure high standards of physical and emotional support, supervise staff, manage rostering and training, and uphold Children’s Home Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards through effective governance and auditing of care practice.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership and management experience in care/learning support.
• Experience working with young people with learning disabilities and/or complex needs.
• Ability to plan, organise and adapt activities to meet young people’s needs.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise care staff to ensure policy is practised and standards are met.
• Provide supervision and appraisal; identify training needs and address them.
• Monitor staff absence and conduct Return to Work interviews.
• Facilitate effective communication between senior management and stakeholders.
• Rostering and deployment of staff within budget.
• Assist in recruitment and selection of care staff.
• Plan, prepare, supervise and assess daily routines within the curriculum.
• Support independence and personal development for the young people.
