Job summary

SWAAY Child & Adolescent Limited in Bracknell is seeking an experienced Children’s Home Manager to lead a 4-bed children's home. You will oversee staffing, budgets, and care planning to provide a safe and therapeutic environment for traumatised young people aged 11–18.

The role combines strong leadership with trauma-informed care, ensuring Ofsted compliance and high standards of safeguarding. A passion for improving outcomes and staff development is essential.

Qualifications

• Level 3 or 4 Diploma in Residential Childcare required.
• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management required.
• Experience in a managerial role within children’s residential care preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Children’s Homes Regulations and safeguarding practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day running of the home, including staffing, rotas, budgets and resources.
• Create a safe, stable and therapeutic environment for young people.
• Oversee development and review of care plans and risk assessments.
• Lead, coach and develop the staff team through supervision and performance management.
• Ensure the home meets Ofsted regulations and quality standards.
• Maintain high standards of care, safeguarding and compliance.
