Job summary

Lancashire County Council is expanding its Children's Residential Service and is seeking a compassionate and motivated Children's Home Assistant Manager to join our dedicated team in Accrington. You will lead a team to deliver safe, nurturing care and support for children and young people, working within core hours and alongside partner agencies.

This role offers professional development, supervision and opportunities to advance within the service while maintaining a strong focus on child

Qualifications

• Experience in residential care, youth work or social care and readiness for first management role.
• Commitment to improving outcomes for children and young people.
• Strong leadership and resilience to manage a care team.

Responsibilities

• Manage the residential home across the core hours 7:00am–7:00pm with alternating shifts (7:00am–3:00pm, 11:00am–7:00pm).
• Lead and supervise staff to ensure high standards of care and safety for children and young people.
• Collaborate with partner agencies including social care, education, health services and the police to support outcomes for young people.
