Job summary

HCRG Care Group in Surrey 0-19 is seeking compassionate Community Carers to support children with complex medical needs in their homes and local communities.

You will work with families and clinical teams, deliver safe, child-centred care, and participate in training and mandatory sessions. This role includes 37.5 hours weekly, night shifts on a rota, and a starting salary of £25,500 with a group pension.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Health or Social Care or Nursery Nurse qualification.
• GCSEs in Maths and English.
• British Sign Language Level 1 or Makaton.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, effective care to children in the community as delegated by the Named Nurse.
• Identify safeguarding concerns and follow appropriate procedures.
• Maintain competencies in specific clinical skills and understand emergency procedures, including escalation and resuscitation.
• Support children’s learning, development, and wellbeing in partnership with families and multidisciplinary colleagues.
• Organise day-to-day activities and attend mandatory training, supervision, and team sessions.
• Follow infection control, confidentiality, and health & safety procedures.
• Communicate effectively with children, families, and professionals.
