Job summary

Gloucestershire Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting for a Children’s Clinical Support Worker in a Band 3 development role. The post is permanent, part-time (27 hours per week) with night shifts.

Experience with children and clinical skills such as suction, enteral feeding, medications, and tracheostomy care is valued. The successful candidate progresses to Band 4 after probation and competency sign-off.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with children and hands-on clinical skills experience such as suction, enteral feeding or tracheostomy care.
• Ability to deliver compassionate care in a home/community setting with adults and families involved.
• Willingness to undertake Care Certificate and ongoing professional development.

Responsibilities

• Deliver clinical care to children under indirect/direct supervision of a registered practitioner.
• Assist with nursing tasks and care plans while maintaining safety and dignity.
• Record care provided and communicate with the team to update care plans.
• Provide home-based support and respite care to families in the community.
