Job summary

Queen's Park Infant Academy is seeking a dedicated Children and Family Support Worker to support pupils and families across the school community. The role involves early pastoral and safeguarding work, with opportunities to signpost external partners and contribute to the Inclusion and Safeguarding team.

The successful candidate will work 30 hours per week during term time (39 weeks), with salary in the Grade 6 SCP 16-22 range (£31,525–£34,811 FTE; actual pro rata £21,887–£24,824).

Qualifications

• Experience in working with children and families including safeguarding.
• Ability to work as part of the Inclusion and Safeguarding team.
• Willingness to undertake safeguarding training and development.

Responsibilities

• Provide early pastoral, relational behaviour and preventative support/guidance/advice to children and families.
• Signpost parents to external partners as needed.
• Work individually and as part of the Inclusion and Safeguarding team to support the school's vision and values.
• Act as deputy designated safeguarding lead with training provided if required.
