Job summary

Oxfordshire County Council is seeking a Support Practitioner to work alongside Social Workers, helping progress care plans and provide practical support to children, young people and families. You will be out in communities and homes, building trust, turning plans into action and safeguarding the welfare of those you support.

You will spend time with families, contribute to assessments and work with partner organisations to ensure high‑quality, consistent support while maintaining sensitive

• Experience of working with children, young people or families.
• Ability to build positive relationships that encourage trust and change.
• Strong communication skills and adaptability to different situations.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with Social Workers to progress children's care plans.
