Job summary

Nudge Education Limited is seeking compassionate practitioners to deliver 1:1 support to young people with SEN/SEMH in community settings. This role focuses on tailoring interventions, building trust, and promoting engagement in learning.

The position requires at least 2 years’ experience, a full UK driving licence, and the ability to work three days per week. You will work beyond traditional classrooms and collaborate with families and regional teams to ensure safe, meaningful learning

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' relevant experience.

Around 90,000 young people across the UK are persistently absent from education each year. At Nudge Education, we support children and young people who are disengaged from education through tailored mentoring and interventions that help them reconnect, rebuild confidence, and thrive.

About the Role

We are looking for compassionate and adaptable practitioners to deliver personalised 1:1 support to young people with SEN, SEMH, or additional needs.

This is a community-based role, working beyond traditional classrooms to create safe, engaging, and meaningful learning experiences.

Who We're Looking For

You may come from education, youth work, healthcare, social care, coaching, uniformed services, or other people-focused backgrounds.

Essential Requirements

• Minimum 2 years' relevant experience
• Experience supporting young people with SEN and/or SEMH needs
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
• Right to work in the UK
• Ability to commit to a minimum of three days' availability per week to provide consistency for our young people
• Willingness to obtain business car insurance prior to commencing the role
• Must have experience with PDA and challenging behaviour.

Practicalities

• Flexible opportunities based on location and student match
• £16-£25 per hour for lead roles, plus agreed expenses
• Monday-Friday daytime availability required
• Consistent availability is essential to provide stability for young people
