Job summary

The Priors School is seeking staff to assist with safe play activities and supervise children in line with health and safety guidelines. The role includes setting up equipment before sessions, aiding with breakfast/tea, and promoting healthy habits while fostering positive self-image and respectful relationships.

You will work closely with parents and school staff, follow the Behaviour Policy, and participate in training as requested.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with children of relevant age
• Ability to assist with providing and supervising safe play activities for children
• Understanding of health issues such as healthy eating and dental health
• Commitment to safeguarding and welfare of children
• Willingness to attend training as reasonably requested
• Ability to follow school policies including Behaviour Policy
• Support to children including basic first aid if trained
• Good relations with parents and staff

Responsibilities

• Assist with providing and supervising safe play activities for children
• Set out equipment before sessions and clear away afterwards
• Foster children’s self-image and esteem and build respectful relationships
• Provide nutritious breakfast/tea for children
• Promote health awareness among children
• Maintain good relations between parents and staff
• Ensure equality of opportunity for all children and their families
• Follow the school’s Behaviour Policy and Health & Safety regulations
• Provide support to children including first aid if trained
• Liaise with school staff as required
• Attend training as reasonably requested
• Carry out other duties as reasonably requested by the Headteacher or Leadership Team
