Job summary

Mumbles Nursery is offering an Early Years Practitioner Apprentice position. You will study toward your Level 2 Early Years Practitioner or Level 3 Early Educator depending on experience, while gaining hands-on nursery experience.

As part of a well established team, you will assist in planning activities, creating a safe and stimulating environment, and supporting children's development in line with EYFS. Training sessions will be provided.

Qualifications

• Willingness to study toward Level 2/3 EY qualification.
• Interest in early years development and learning.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and implementing activities that support children's learning and development in line with EYFS.
• Provide a safe, secure and stimulating environment for children.
• Support children's social, emotional, physical and cognitive development.
• Engage with children through play, storytelling and creative activities.
• Help maintain accurate records of children’s progress and share with parents.
• Work closely with team members to ensure smooth nursery/preschool operation.
• Attend training sessions and complete Level 2 qualification.

Role and Responsibilities:

As an Early Years Practitioner Apprentice, you will:

• Assist in planning and implementing a range of activities that support children's learning and development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
• Provide a safe, secure, and stimulating environment for the children.
• Support children’s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.
• Engage with children through play, storytelling, and creative activities.
• Help maintain accurate records of children’s progress and share with parents and caregivers.
• Work closely with other team members to ensure the smooth running of the nursery/preschool.
• Attend training sessions and complete and achieve the Level 2 qualification.
