Job summary

Shoots is offering a Level 3 Childcare Apprenticeship at Little Treacle's Nursery in Sevenoaks. We are seeking an enthusiastic, reliable and hardworking individual to complete the apprenticeship while supporting high-quality care for children aged 0–5.

You will work around 40 hours per week over four days, in a warm, home-from-home environment that nurtures each child’s development through play, EYFS activities, observations, and learning journeys.

Qualifications

• A Level 2 Childcare qualification would be desirable
• GCSE grades A*-C or 4-9 in Maths and English, or willing to work towards them

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of high-quality care and learning experiences for children aged 0–5 years.
• Assist with planning and delivering engaging, age-appropriate activities linked to the EYFS framework.
• Support children's development through play, exploration, and positive interactions.
• Build strong relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
• Act as a key person (where appropriate), supporting individual children's needs and development.
• Complete observations, assessments, and contribute to children's learning journeys.
• Support children's personal care routines, including mealtimes, toileting, and hygiene.
• Maintain a safe, secure, and stimulating environment for children.
• Follow safeguarding procedures and promote children's welfare at all times.
• Support inclusion and ensure all children feel valued and supported.
• Work as part of a team, communicating effectively with colleagues and management.
• Attend training, complete coursework, and develop knowledge and skills throughout the apprenticeship.
• Follow nursery policies, procedures, and health and safety requirements.
• Support transitions for children and help create positive experiences during their early years journey.

Shoots Training are looking for an enthusiastic, reliableand hardworking individual to complete their Level 3ChildcareApprenticeshipat Little Treacle's Nursery,Sevenoaks.

Requirements;

• A Level 2 Childcare qualification would be desirable
• Preferably have GCSE grades A*-C or 4-9 in Maths and English, or equivalentor willing to work towards them

At Little Treacles, we provide a warm and friendly home from home environment, where children feel safe and secure. Our tailored care is personalised to each child’s individual needs. Located in Otford, Sevenoaks, our nursery features a small garden with free flow access from the Preschool room, allowing children to always enjoy both indoor and outdoor activities. Children's natural curiosity is nurtured to allow them to learn through every experience provided. We develop children's confidence to try different activities in a place where they feel safe to learn new skills.

We have 4 rooms – Baby, Toddler, Preschool and Afterschool

Some of the activities we provide are Dance,Sports,Yogaand others in line with the EYFS

We care for children between 3 months–5 years & 5-11 years for the afterschool room

Hours;

• Little Treacle's Nursery is open from 7:30am – 6:00pm Monday to Friday
• The successful candidate will be required to work 40hours per week over 4 days
