Job summary

Hertfordshire Community NHS Trust invites applications for an NHS AfC Band 3 safeguarding administration role in St Albans. The post is part-time (26 hours per week) with flexible working and a pro rata salary of £25,760–£27,476 per annum.

You will support the Child Death Review team and the CDOP, coordinate the electronic CDOP system, arrange meetings, track cases, and maintain confidential information with empathy and professionalism. Interviews 4 November 2026; closing date 27 October 2026.

Qualifications

• GCSEs grade C or above, or equivalent.
• Fast and accurate typing skills.
• NVQ Level 2 in Business & Administration or equivalent knowledge and experience.
• Good literacy and numeracy skills.
• Good IT skills - including all office applications and office equipment.
• Efficient/organised.
• Professional telephone manner at all times.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Child Death Review (CDR) Team, including the Joint Agency Response (JAR) process and CDOP.
• Coordinate meetings, monitor case progress, gather and maintain accurate information, and support partner agencies.
• Manage the electronic CDOP (eCDOP) system and handle confidential information with professionalism and compassion.
