Job summary

Torbay Council is seeking a Social Worker (Assessment & Intervention) to join the Children’s Services team on a permanent basis. You will undertake assessments, develop care plans and prepare court reports for safeguarding cases in Torbay.

The role requires a Social Work England registration, ASYE complete, and at least 2 years of post-qualification experience in child protection, safeguarding or court work. Excellent supervision and development opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• Social Work degree qualification, e.g., Dip SW, CQSW, CSS or equivalent.
• Membership of Social Work England.
• Significant post-qualification experience with children and families.

Responsibilities

• Undertake assessments with children and families in need and safeguard contexts.
• Develop comprehensive care plans and support arrangements.
• Prepare court reports and attend hearings as required.
• Collaborate with partner agencies to safeguard children and effect lasting change.
